For the same reason we wanted those two lads who played for Team Bath, and that ginger kid who played for Weston Super Mare.... Potential

yeah osman is only on loan but i expect he'll end up being released just like the rest of the youth team. and even though joe burnell was a cracking player for bristol city why do we want a guy that can't een get in a conference team!
What, like Gill struggled at Notts County?

So he was a cracking player, and we have one of the best man managers you can get... sounds like a good signing if it's true.

Potential? He's 28, can't get into a Blue Square team on the decline and seems to be a player who would chuck his toys out of the pram whenever he doesn't get his own way.

Basically that a 28 year old midfielder named Joe Burnell played as a triallist in the reserves on Tuesday. Started career with Bristol City, has also played for Wycombe and Northanpton and this season Oxford, having just been released by them.
he had a game for city reserves last season up at yeovil. werent nothing special, and certainly not a replacement for gilly
