What trucks? How much goes into coverage of football at our level? We're not talking Match of the Day coverage here, with all that entails.
For the last televised game it was two big antics with expandable trailor sides, plus a couple of transit sized vans(other makes of van are available) and finally a motorhome for the security team. These big wagons come in at around £1.5m with equipment, sometimes more! Add to all this the area around them you need for access and the Fountain Centre car park is the only place possible. Imagine the outcry if all this lot parked up on the road at the back of ASS.

I'm sure we all enjoy a good laugh at Oxford having three stands.
That's Championship bound Oxford..

Oh dear oh dear. Kenneth Wolstenholme doesn't do the commentary anymore.
Or his ghost will be doing it at Torquay.

Seems a lot of hassle for something that ultimately doesn't matter.

Does anyone think we should move the cameras at SJP to the other side? Our ground looks awful on tv, looks non-league. Move the electric advertising board to the opposite side and put up a platform in the Adam Stansfield stand. This would greatly improve the media profile of the club as we try and attract quality players and establish ourselves as a League One club.
Now everything is digital, we dont need to run cables to cameras anymore. The trucks will park where they always do. The BBC built a commentary box for Lineker and Co on that side (against Man U) by the railway line. People around the world watch live league games at SJP on their lap tops, soon enough this will become a valuable revenue stream. it does matter, its embarassing!

Does it though in the grand scheme of things? This is another of those things that come under the guise of aesthetically pleasing schemes such as re-colouring all the seats in the Doble. Everything costs money and that means something else doesn't get funded ultimately. I'm genuinly intrigued but ultimately can't see any 'business case' that the club would deem this in any way important in terms of financial sustainability or getting points on a matchday

With all this digital stuff these days, can't we pick our own background for broadcasts like in Microsoft Teams? Rather than views of student bedsits on Victoria Street we could go for a view like the inside of the Bernabeu?
