Perhaps it was too much to expect a great final after the thrilling semis.
Thought it was unfair to drop Moure for Kane : Kane has not done much since the World Cup.

Probably the worst final since 1986...Bucharest v Barcelona 0-0,went to penalties & 6 were missed ! Bucharest won 2-0 on those.

Yes a poor advert for English football despite an English team winning it. Sounds as if the heat was pretty intense which might help explain the lethargy.

Playing Harry Kane did not work. He was totally ineffective. Liverpool miles below their best but they did enough.

P!$$ poor game. Liverpool created two shots at goal all game, Robertson forced Loris into a half dent save and Milner fired just wide from the only decent move Liverpool put together. They scored from a debatable penalty, given in Europe but probably not the Premier League, and a defensive mistake. Spurs were slow and ponderous all night and only carried a threat when they got it wide. Far too often they tried to be intricate and go through the middle of Liverpools defence.

Can’t recall that.....Of course that years competition was the first of the English clubs ban from Europe following Heysel, which scuppered Everton who were League Champions in 1985,a real shame because that was a fantastic Everton side & they would have been favourites to win the European Cup that season.

Former Tottenham hero Glenn Hoddle on BT Sport on that controversial penalty: "No way was it a penalty. Sissoko was pointing when he was running back, looking at something up the pitch, it’s like he was coaching sand saying ‘take the runner’.

"If he was trying to stop the cross, he would have out both hands up. It hit him in the chest and rolled along his arm. If that is a penalty, we will have 100 of them per game."

Who gives a ****e - 6 times !!!

We deserved that over the course of the season and that overpriced centre half who’s not worth the money Van Djik was man of the match - absolute bargain.
