To be in the same division as Torquay, Yeovil, Rovers, Swindon and Argyle would be pretty neat.
That's just a standard season for some teams. Macclesfield have Oldham, Bury, Port Vale, Crewe, Tranmere, Mansfield and Notts County within the same distance we have to travel for our closes away game (Yeovil). So if you're a fan of the Silkmen, you can make it to 31 of 46 matches with ease - most of those away days you could leave after lunch and still get to a 3 PM kick-off with enough time to park up, pick up a programme and get through the turnstile.

Could be happening next year ('cepting Torquay)

But not in the division we want to be in

Not just for fans, for the coffers too. More away supporters coming through the gate, they don't need to lease a coach or pay a driver for as many hours - likely never have to pay for hotel rooms (as we do against Carlisle / Morecambe) as all trips can feasibly be done on the day.

I know we have a larger catchment area, but it's a pretty sparsely populated one - and competition from cricket and rugby is very strong too.

Yep, the more relatively local clubs in our Div. the merrier. In addition to all the above, better atmosphere, too.

Another reason why it's a shame Yeovil are so dire right now. Only brought about 600 fans (when they could've filled that away end on Boxing Days past), and they created no atmosphere at all.

If we're in League Two next season at least we can look forward to Swindon and Argyle fans making a bit of noise.

It was a bit disappointing that. Obviously turkey and beef salad for lunch and Lego to play with must have put some off. Plus their dreadful form

Dire form, plus their manager made a comment in the press that their fans don't know what they are talking about, which unsurprisingly, was not popular among the fans. Quite a few of their fans now boycotting until the manager leaves, apparently.

Shawn McCoulsky has joined Forest Green Rovers permanently from Bristol City.

A very good signing in my opinion.

John Sheridan resigns from Carlisle. Where's he off to?
