Hopefully he can find a centre back who looks equally as good as Chieck needs a rest.
As for White himself, you can see why The Toon have tied him down for three years.

Agree, Chiecke looked off the pace today and if the ref wasn’t so ***** he could have been penalised a few times in what would have been dangerous positions for us.

This one wasn't difficult for GC to find as he was White's manager/coach at the start of last season (when GC was interim manager of Newcastle U23s). - so knew him quite well already.

The interviews when White signed revealed that White texted congratulations to GC on his appointment at ECFC, to which GC replied 'I'll be looking for good players to sign in January..'
