No, Preston have been losing money for years and Covid has just made those issues worse.

Think it was public knowledge he was on a pretty high wage there so can imagine that if they didn’t see him being their main striker he was probably someone they couldn’t afford to keep around so looked to recoup at least some of what they paid us!

To be honest I have listened to all the recordings, but I'll take your word for it
Can't remember how long his contract was for but yes, they must have been pretty desperate if they sold him for 300-400k

Sounds about right, he may well be a top end League one player, and that sound right for that. He went to Preston clearly hoping to be a top end Championship player, he didn't manage that, a couple of years older of course his value has depreciated.
