Thanks! Little bit slow selling today. Not sure why but at least it was mostly dry pre-match. There are some copies left if you didn't manage to get hold of one today on our website here: http://www.somesunnyday.org.uk/page8.html

You go me on the alarm clock
Got mine in Switzerland on Saturday morning, just in time to read during half-time. Great read as always!

Never cease to be amazed by Swiss efficiency. I know they take longer to get to France!

Thanks to everyone who has ordered issue 17 online as well as those who are still subscribing for this season. As we didn't sell out on Saturday, you can still bag yourself the entire season's worth of fanzines here: http://www.somesunnyday.org.uk/page4.html

How can you fail to sell all the copies of something that only costs a quid? I suspect that the sellers are not trying hard enough.

People should buy it even if it isn't entertaining FFS.

An unworthy post. (n) Lionel was trying very hard in Stadium Way.

Perhaps he should smarten himself up a bit. Easy to mistake him for a Big Issue vendor.

Appreciate the sentiment, EoV, but there are a lot of other things for people to spend their limited money on. Tickets aren't cheap plus all the rest of the costs. On Saturday just outside the ground there were programmes, fanzines, quizes and a bucket collection so we fully appreciate that fans can't support everything.

Fanzines at every level are very niche these days with only a fraction of the crowd ever likely to buy one. That's fine. We knew that when we started SSD.

The sellers do their best. More people helping is an advantage but to be honest we do struggle to find willing volunteers. It's only a quid - very deliberately, lots are more, but SSD will always be £1 unless printing costs prohibit it. Sometimes you feel like you're asking people to remortgage their house the looks you get but hey ho as long as the people who do buy it enjoy it then I'm happy.

Nah, Wheeler's socialist revolution has moved on to West London, the free-marketeers rule Stadium Way once again.
