Huddersfield is in West Yorkshire, which is at the wrong end of the country, and is east of the Pennines and therefore on the wrong side of the country. But only just.

The town is famous for the cow that didn't like its teats being groped.

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
Harold Wilson was born there...

The first 4 matches the Grecians played against Huddersfield in the mid 1970's all resulted in wins for the Grecians....surely unique against any club....

The first time we played them, was at Leeds Rd in 1975...The game at SJP that season was memorable for a 4-1 win & most away fans leaving at HT & having a ruck at the Coach station at 5pm....

Disbelief...
They have never hung a monkey and aren't allowed to shoot Welshmen after midnight.

The eternal TV Sunday night filler 'Last of the Summer Wine' is filmed in and around Huddersfield. It was created by the Roy Clarke at the time of the Roman invasion of Britain and scientists now measure the number of episodes in light years.

They have a rugby league team and are the birth place of Rugby League and the George Hotel runs meetings to this day for the association. If you arrive at the station its on your left on the square and has a plaque in the bar!

They lost 7-6 to Charlton having been 5-1 up (and I think a man up) with 20 to go.
