General disquiet generated by him playing his mates every week, now a complete lack of effort and spirit emerging in games, where would we be without our famous team spirit ?

Worrying times.

Weren't they going to move the dressing rooms to the Doble. I suggest he looks their first. I think the problem is on 11 can fit in the dressing room at any one time so the remaining 34 are left waiting outside.

Steady on Poults. You can't sign players of the calibre of Marcus Stewart
without promising to play them every single week no matter what. Now I
know he was thinking of retireing from playing a couple of seasons ago but
it does look like he'll be starting for us in season 30/31. I wonder if Tony
Kellow still fancies a game. Pretty sure the old dog could stll do a job for
us just behind the front one. They'll be a picture of the dressing room
along shortly to put your worries behind you.

Steady, we don't want any of that, "tackle out" stuff with that nice young American Girlie trolling the halls.

I don't agree with that at all. If a player has any confidence in his own ability and a shred of self respect as a footballer he should believe that he's good enough to warrant a place in the starting XI every week, and be willing to fight for it if he's not.

If I was running a club and an old established player came to me and said "I'll sign but you have to promise to start me every single week", I would give him a two word answer, the second word being "off". If he's good enough to start every week, and more importantly if he believes he's good enough (which as a former Premiership goalscorer now playing in League One he should be), he shouldn't need any such promises at all.

It's just a silly online rumour, Sam, already discredited elsewhere.

[maybe this should be in the 'let's be sensible' thread...]

I wouldn't be quite so unequivecal.

The rumour has at least as much credibilty as the denials, IMHO.
