Le Tiss was more talented.Gazza was a flawed genius. Maybe going to United instead of Spurs would have served him better. Whatever you may think about Gazza the person, on the pitch we haven't had anything like before and have had nothing since. He could walk into any side from any era without the blink of an eyelid.
Gascoigne's number of caps and goals tell a different story.Le Tiss was more talented.
No it doesn't.Gascoigne's number of caps and goals tell a different story.
The merits Smalling or Bruce has nothing to do with it!No it doesn't.
Is Chris Smalling better than Steve Bruce?
I'm merely pointing out that you can't just say "he has more caps so is better". I can say Le Tiss has more appearances and goals in domestic football than Gazza so is therefore better. The merits Smalling or Bruce has nothing to do with it!
And yes it does.
We'll agree to disagree Greasy (no surprise there). Le Tiss delivered much more than Gazza, if he had been given the same chances as Gazza then he would have been the best player this country had produced. The fact you're just plain wrong regardless is the only thing you need to worry about in either case. Le Tiss was quality, there's no getting away from that, but better than Gazza? Never in a million years. Le Tiss could do things that would make you go 'wow', Gazza only had to turn up to make you go 'wow'. He could dominate games from start to finish in a way that Le Tiss could only dream about
1991 but he'd been stretchered off after 15ish minutes after injuring his knee trying to cripple Gary Charles of Nottingham Forest, should have been sent off for that tackle!
