FYI - There were 845,000 job vacancies between August and October 2018 which is 44,000 more than 12 months ago and is a record high.

It's not "unemployment" Hants. It's "Brexit delivering more precious leisure time for the underwhelming majority."

We need to find some more zero hour contracts style jobs for people, that'll keep them busy and off the unemployment count. :)

Amazing.

@realDonaldTrump Emmanuel Macron suggests building its own army to protect Europe against the U.S., China and Russia. But it was Germany in World Wars One & Two - How did that work out for France? They were starting to learn German in Paris before the U.S. came along. Pay for NATO or not!
Blimey - Trump is really going in on Macron this morning.

On Trade, France makes excellent wine, but so does the U.S. The problem is that France makes it very hard for the U.S. to sell its wines into France, and charges big Tariffs, whereas the U.S. makes it easy for French wines, and charges very small Tariffs. Not fair, must change!

The problem is that Emmanuel suffers from a very low Approval Rating in France, 26%, and an unemployment rate of almost 10%. He was just trying to get onto another subject. By the way, there is no country more Nationalist than France, very proud people-and rightfully so!........

......MAKE FRANCE GREAT AGAIN!

By the way, when the helicopter couldn’t fly to the first cemetery in France because of almost zero visibility, I suggested driving. Secret Service said NO, too far from airport & big Paris shutdown. Speech next day at American Cemetary in pouring rain! Little reported-Fake News!

If you look at the breakdown unemployment has actually gone down in every sector except for retail where it's been absolutely clobbered. That would be down to the likes of Amazon et al & the miserable High Street experience and nothing to do with Brexit.

Blimey - Trump is really going in on Macron this morning.

This every time. It's not only France with wine, but Germany with cars, Canada with milk, the list goes on. Countries have been taking the pee for a long time and now he's going to do something about it.

WELL WOULD YOU IMAGINE MY SHOCK!

Unfortunately, I assume this means we won't be getting rid of Hants as quickly as we may have hoped.

His project fear argument a few pages back about moving to an EU country so he won't need a visa to travel to the EU has been, of course, debunked. With or without a deal.

The Pro-EU (not so)Independent are even reporting it.
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/eu-brexit-visas-no-deal-british-citizens-latest-a8631671.html

Travel advice issued by the Commission says: “The European Commission has proposed to the EU legislator to exempt UK nationals from visa requirements for short-term stays”.

No doubt owners of leisure focussed business in the EU have been lobbying the strutting, willy waving EU politicians and bureaucrats to ensure their businesses are not ruined.

But I know we'll meet again, some sunny day...
Looks like the EU and UK might have come to terms, just leaving the definitely realistic task of getting it past the cabinet and parliament.
