Jamie Cureton appointed manager of Cambridge City.

Seem to have forgotten to put in his time at ECFC in the article.

From the moment Jack Stacey swung his left foot, in the process imparting enough potential energy into the ball to carry it unerringly over thirty yards into the furthest corner of the Carlisle goal, there was no sound. The packed crowd fell silent, heads following the tragetary of the slowly revolving missile as it sought out it's distant narrow target, time was releived of it's mundane duty of dividing up the day, reality was suspended.
An extremely accurate and sensitive directional microphone might just have picked up the gentle sound of air movement across the uneven surface of the hurtling asteroid of hope, a few growing voices of expectant, not quite beleiving witnesses adding atmosphere to the unfolding imminent epic which was about to become an actual event, the impossible was within our grasp.
The joy, release and unbelievable discharge of unbridled passion emitted in that moment of exultation will forever be the light in the dark tunnels of many of those lives fortunate enough to be illuminated by the event of that night including this proud Grecian, safe to say it was a pretty good goal in my book!

Sorry but that was keeping me awake!

As an aside, we've played Cambridge City twice. First game was September 2001 when we beat them at home 3-0 in a FA Cup first round game, then in February 2006 we beat them at home 1-0 in a FA Trophy match. Did we sign Alan Banks from Cambridge City?

Happy 42nd birthday to Kevin Amankwaah. I still don't think he was bigger than a tractor :)

And a happy 46th birthday to Bertie Cozic.
