I'm sure players just shrug off VAR now, it's just laughable how inconsistent and incompetent they are.

Villa will be very happy with the deal they did for Ollie. 8 in 15 this season, 6 in 12 in the PL. Any player that gets a goal every other game in the PL can be pretty satisfied, and he covers so much ground too.

In the unlikely event that Villa won their two game in hand over Liverpool and Leicester they'd be 2nd, or 3rd if Manure win theirs. Not too shabby.

Elliott Frear played in yesterday’s Scottish Cup Final for Hearts v Celtic. Came on as an extra time sub and won the foul that led to the equaliser (3-3). Was his second Scottish Cup Final appearance - also played (again coming on as a sub) for Motherwell v Celtic in 2018. Ryan Bowman was up front for Motherwell in same game. Quite a lot of Grecian interest in Scotland at the moment. Tillson, Martin, and Frear. Rumours that Celtic are after Kyle Edwards.

Ollie has indeed been a great signing for Villa even at the reputed £28m (or 24m?) potentially rising by another 5m.

But he must be mightily fed up with these VAR decisions ruling out excellent goals . If Villa have a bad run, the stats will show that Ollie hasn't scored in the last five games, though in fact of course he has had two superb goals wrongly ruled out!

Is Troy Brown still up in Scotland too?

Troy left Dundee in January. He signed for Chelmsford City in February, making just two appearances before leaving in the summer. No news of him since.
