No recognised goalkeeper for the Development Side today which will make things interesting when they're playing against the wind. As for the bobbly pitch......... it's got more rolls than your average cow field.

Emily Toogood drives forward and plays in Connie, she beats the defender and drills it in off the near post

Game on now, a free kick from the edge of the area finds the net two goals in 2 minutes

“Exeter City are in the Devon County Cup Final. A hard fought victory here in Ivybridge with Connie Pengelly hitting two goals”

Reports from the roving, balding reporter at Shaldon suggests a 4-2 victory for the girls with Harris junior notching a hattrick. Might keep him quiet for a bit although I expect he will be pointing out any chances missed ;) . Although the girl doesn't need telling, she's a bit of the goal obsessed chip off the old block.

You ain't wrong. Did well with the three goals and then started trying to be too clever by dragging the keeper out and sliding it past her at the last second. Overall though, the girls are through after a 4-2 win. It was an improved performance on the last round but they will still need to step up again if they are going to win this competition. It's not something they're not capable of but Super Tan Sam has his concerns. They have a friendly next week at the University which should help iron out some of the issue a lot which revolve around communication. Quite surprising really as we all know teenage girls can 5alk the hind leg off if a donkey. Sorry for the lack of an update during the game, I was busy running the line.
