With the weather it was never going to be any better than that crowd. Hopefully as the season kicks in with better performances, we should improve crowd-wise.

Thought the two youngsters Grimes and Dawson were excellent, Grimes looks so comfortable and didn't misplace a pass. Wheeler is something we've never had before, and boy have we missed it, he was absolutely excellent, and the assist from the second goal was top. O'Flynn shut the critics up with two goals, and Oakley quietly played very well. The one down side is that we can't get to excited as it was a very poor Wimbledon side.

Sounds good Harry , looks like I may have to revise my season's position prediction! So with Grimes and Wheeler playing so well and Gosling waiting in the wings is this the end for Sercombe I wonder especially with his latest propensity for injury? Trouble is we're carrying an extra wage there we don't need so I wish we'd got rid earlier and freed up the wage bill a bit.

What is happening..??..3 games at SJP & all highly entertaining..Long may it continue.
Agreed!

City produced another fine display in front of a disappointingly low crowd. I was particularly impressed with our play in the first half and, as others have said, it was worlds apart from the performances we put in last season. There were several contenders for MOTM, but I think the decision to award it to Wheeler was the correct one -- the way he skinned the Dons' full-back and left him for dead to create the first goal was class.

It was also good to see O'Flynn get his name on the scoresheet twice after spurning several earlier opportunities. Let's hope he can build on this excellent performance and be this season's 15/20-goal man. Parkin impressed me again, showing good awareness and nice touches for a big man. Oakley oozed quality at times and Grimes put in a very assured performance. From what I saw today and from what others have said to me, he seems our brightest youth prospect. It is also pleasing to see that Davies has upped his game from last season.

We were generally solid at the back, with Dawson impressing in particular. A mention to the reliable Baldwin too, who showed real determination to clear the ball off the line in the dying stages. Although his kicking was poor at times, Artur was solid and made an excellent point blank save in injury time.

Sercs pulled up ten minutes after being subbed on with what looked like a groin injury. Coming on for Sercs, the Doc didn't have one of his better days and misplaced a number of passes. With the midfield looking very well balanced during this game, I don't see where Gow fits in. Personally, I'd like to see Tis start with the same midfield for the Morecambe game.

The Dons were rubbish and look as though they could be in for a struggle again this season. Fair play to their fans who traveled down in good numbers and kept on singing during the downpours.

Gow will be great for those games where we don't make a break through.

Still the 4th highest attendance of 12 matches in L2 today for all that.

That's interesting. I suppose the weather may have put off a couple of hundred making the trip.
