Of course it is all about the money, and somewhat paradoxically that could be their achilles heel. The whole Football community needs to unite. Shame and boycott the corporate sponsors their kit manufacturers, start hitting their balance sheets, send share values dipping, put them under pressure and put the greedy feckers out of business !
Not going to happen though is it.

Back to the real world.

...A Real Madrid supporter will always support Real Madrid and it's the same for the other clubs involved and this is what they are all betting on....

Yep. Lots of folk looking for Unicorns on this one.

You cannot buck the market.

The point some are overlooking is that "glory hunters" can currently latch on to Man Utd and the rest, and get rewarded with regular success. Even the bad seasons don't put them anywhere near the bottom of the domestic league.

But there won't be much glory for (e.g.) Arsenal finishing 15th in a Super League, losing far more games than they win. And then losing their best players and going into a downward spiral. How long will the "customer" loyalty last, if it has no roots?

As an aside, wearing your hat as a tax consultant, I recall reading somewhere a few years back, that a number (9 ?) of the top Spanish Clubs, including of course RM, AM and Barca enjoyed some historic tax privileges compared to the rest of the Spanish Clubs. Do you know anything about this ? It may well have changed particularly given the purge that was carried out on tax evasion, by star players and managers.

They will be happy if the response remains as negative as it is. It will be even better if, as suggested, they are docked points and relegated from their Premier Leagues. This will give them the real excuse they are looking for...A Real Madrid supporter will always support Real Madrid and it's the same for the other clubs involved and this is what they are all betting on. The end result may not look exactly like they have planned, but the fundamentals will change radically and this is what they agitating for.
It's not even about the fans of these clubs. It's all about the huge income from worldwide TV rights fees. China alone is a massive market, plus all the other countries around the world. The TV rights for our PL would diminish and pass over to the SL. Asian fans want to see and pay for Barca v Juventus, not Norwich v Bolton.
But I think the novelty will wear if it happens.

If Gary Lineker is up in arms over it then it must be the right thing to do.

Bring it on and let them go. The Prem is a joke anyway.

Let them leave. Play their games in NYC, Dubai, franchised with their own weird rules.

EFL take over, the Prem brand is dead anyway without them.

Bring in the Scottish League to the whole pyramid, to fill the gaps and add new interest.

Sheffield Wednesday or Villa could win the league. Rangers v Wolves, Celtic v Everton are interesting games to the British fans.

Aways days at Motherwell and St Mirren for us.

Football back with the matchday fans.

Sadly I was never instructed to deal with any of those number 9’s :(

I recall Beckham’s Law where foreign players paid only 24% Spanish tax.

Then all the tax evasion came to light.
