Really hope for City he will be loaned to a PS Club where if he does well and gets some positive media coverage it could lead to a bigger move and a decent pay day for City.

I’m pretty sure I said the same thing last summer but it’s even more true now that I can’t see the benefit to anyone of Ethan being loaned out again; it surely must be time for Chelsea to cut their losses and sell him.

Of course Chelsea have made a profit out of Ethan. The amount they have received for him in loan fees exceeds the £1.3m transfer fee they paid ECFC! That profit will increase with further loan fees or a sale.

(no, I'm not bitter really...)

As we know they are certainly not short of money but with the WC on the horizon if Amps has a good tournament which could affect his saleable value in a positive way it would seem to be somewhat short sighted to sell him now.

Yep they make profits on all these constant loans of certain players, it's why they do it.

At least we get 20% of the loan fee, whatever that is.

I was told that when he first went on loan (I think) £140K subsequently appeared in our bank account with no explanation. It turned out to be an instalment of the loan fee at RB Leipzig.

I assume that we have been and are getting further 20% instalments from subsequent loans as and when due.
