Do you mean it was crap not to finish the Strines off for 150/160 ?
No the next 4 days. From an English perspective.

From the same partisan perspective the crap for me was

1. Letting them get from 122/8 to 284.
2. Failing to get a lead of 150/200 on first innings though a clatter of wickets
3. The total turd of day 4.
4. The miserable batting today.
5. Non partisan point: The umpiring of Joel Wilson. FFS how is he an Elite Panel umpire ?

Some heads need to roll.

To be fair, I said that in one sentence.😁 Agree about Wilson.

Miserable performance, with our future test prospects looking bleak.
To start with, we chose a 10-man team, since it was far too risky to select Anderson. Shocking decision. And everyone knows that Moeen is in awful form and down in the dumps, so why didn't they select Rahid. Another terrible decision.
Our batting lacks any kind of solidity and you feel a wicket can fall at any moment.
As I said in an earlier post, there's no doubt that playing so much rounders (sorry: limited overs cricket) has had an impact, BUT IT'S THE SAME FOR AUSTRALIA TOO.
Summary
Selectors useless
England batting useless
Umpires useless
Anderson should have withdrawn voluntarily : he must have known he wasn't fit.

According to Gillespie, Archer's coach, he was fit to play the 1st Test. But the selectors said he wasn't ready, so they gave Anderson the go-ahead, even though he was not fit and had no warm-up game (Ireland) beforehand.
Seriously, the selectors should be fired for this casual approach to a vital Test match.
PS. Anderson has been a fantastic bowler for England and deserves all the accolades, but he has muddied his reputation in my eyes.

I was pilloried on here for suggesting to take Adil Rashid over Moeen.

If you look back you'll see I also said we should pick Rashid and not Moeen. You weren't pilloried : it was just TPC , who tends to be wrong.

I'd go with Leach over either of them currently.

We're in a bit of an existential crisis point with our Test side, with several changes possibly needed.

Up top: Burns has justified his selection with his ton, plus we need to keep Roy in for now. Root should stay at 3, but I think Denly has been found wanting. With my Middx-tinted specs on I'd say to get Malan back in at 4, our best player in Australia last time and in scintillating form currently. Buttler needs to step up to remind us why we've picked him in the red ball game - getting out closing the face was symptomatic of his poor technique against the swinging ball.

I'd go with something like this:

Burns
Roy
Root
Malan
Bairstow
Stokes
Buttler
Woakes
Archer
Broad
Leach
