Carroll would also suffer from refs outside England who don't like big strikers and blow for a foul every time they jump anywhere near the ball (see Peter Crouch).
And Lambert is a shrinking violet of course. :S

I think Lambert deserves his place , he's a better footballer than Carroll in terms of bringing others into the game with his ability and hold up play -

Sterling has secured a place on the plane and rightly so with his recent performances.

I reckon most of Liverpool's English players will go, and why shouldn't they? This season Liverpool have by far and away played the best football so it'd be hard to justify someone going in their place. The only exception, for me, would be Henderson. Never really rated him and think there are far better English midfielders out there.
