Good fightback from England, and 300 up for Jimmy Anderson, only the fourth England bowler to reach that milestone.

Given the weather what would you have expected Malc?

The pitch was fine really even if a bit on the slow side. It didn't really break up and the match ended in four days due to a mixture of poor batting and some good seam and swing bowling from both sides. This isn't the first time NZ have collapsed like this recently, not sure they could blame the pitch.

More to do with the weather rather than the pitch - all down to the swing bowling .

Poor batting? No doubt about that. However, most of the movement was seam and Warne would have been unplayable. A proper Test pitch shouldn't be turning as it did for a third rate NZ spinner on the 3rd day...

True the batting was poor but don't forget Swann was not required in 2nd Innings it was all down to swing and not the pitch

Was I watching a different game?..In the main, it was seam and not swing and this is down to the pitch...The pitch was slow and the ball was able to grip and deviate.
