Sorry to our 1931 Fund members who didn't get advance notice of Elliott Chamberlain's loan move to Bath. We'll get an email update sent soon.
Hopefully, the move will give our lad a boost, but of course the array of attacking options that City have - including late Summer signing Dave Wheeler and the emergence of Matt Jay - haven't helped Elliott's first team chances at SJP.
Bath will pay a decent percentage of Elliott's wages, so the loan move is sensible business for ECFC and our 1931 Fund, and the money we get back will be available to re-invest in a Number 31 further down the line. (We'll confirm the exact financials towards the end of the season.)
Thanks once again to all the 1931 Fund members - many Exewebbers among them - who support City in this hopefully interesting way.

PS: Of course, cos Tis decided in Spring that he wanted to keep Elliott and asked us to help fund that, City were able to press ahead with our deal for Dave Wheeler when he impressed in his trial. It goes without saying that if we hadn't agreed to pay for Elliott, there may not have been enough money to stretch the budget and pay for Dave. Whether it's Elliott forcing his way back in, or our next Number 31, our time (and our next Ryan, Kev Miller or Kells) will come!
