Presumably Villa will be in the Southern section, along with the 6 London clubs and Brighton, while Wolves will play in the north.Yikes! Of the Premiership 'invited' clubs the nearest are Brighton and the London clubs (Saints relegated,Bournemouth not in it etc)
I'm never sure how they allocate the Premier League clubs to EFL groups. The EFL groups themselves are considerably localised, but we have ended up with the likes of Chelsea. That makes sense if the Premier League clubs U21s have a North/South split as all their games are away anyway.Presumably Villa will be in the Southern section, along with the 6 London clubs and Brighton, while Wolves will play in the north.
Competition died the day they started including Prem U23 teams.Still persisting with the nonsense of 'invited ' sides. Its a no from me.
Hopefully the club can get the priority ticket system sorted for the big match against Luton U23s at SJP.Put into the same group as Swindon and Reading
(The Gas and Newport and/or Cheltenham would have made more geographic sense!)
We learn which Premier Leagues "Giants" will be gracing us with their presence tomorrow.
