exactly. There was hypocrisy in suggesting there would be promotion as usual from league two but possibly no relegation. That could only be done if the National League clubs agreed.I just don't understand how this can be an option. L1 decide on no relegation so tough on L2. It cant be up to the individual leagues within the EFL to decide what to do in terms of promotion and relegation. To play or not, I get there can be a differential, but not to promote/relegate
The whole thing is crying out for some central leadership and parameters, laid down by the FA. Meanwhile the National League wait and see what crumbs are thrown so they can sort themselves out. It is beyond farcical. The FA took the early step to avoid all leagues from Step 3 down with little consultation yet they've done nothing to steer the PL and EFL into a sensible approach.
