Flying back and forth to Dubai etc inbetween Tests doesn’t seem very ‘cricket’ somehow

Bat-maker Duncan Fearnley has died at 83. He played a part in getting Ian Botham to join Worcs after his acrimonious departure from Somerset. The Telegraph obituary shows DF pictured with Viv Richards in 1988, although in the 70s Viv used the SS Jumbo. He was reported to have smashed one in the Somerset dressing room after we missed out on the Sunday League title in 1978.
