Same with grassroots Football - people just not wanting to commit fully to it these days. Our Exiles FC went back down to a single XI last season as our first XI (by now mostly not City supporters) decided to chuck it in to play midweek short-sided stuff instead.

We have two relatively "prestige" friendlies left, at Twickenham on Sunday and at my old club, Wycombe House, on the 7th.

So time will tell.

In a "that says it all" way, having had to pull out of Sunday's friendly at Twickenham we've got 11 for a T20 match tomorrow evening against the Mayor of Haaanslow's XI.

The CEO of Middlesex CCC is, however, keen to meet us to discuss our plight related to the league we were in.
