He must have been practicing for the one he scored at Hull. He should have patented that effort, he sort of collapsed while he was doing it, but it was still an overhead kick and it was certainly a goal...

Well, I thought it was Martin Thomas*, as did a couple of other people on one of the threads about visiting Charlton. However, the memory can play tricks.

Yossi Benayoun has scored hat-tricks in each of those competitions, he may not be the only one; has he appeared for City under an assumed name ?
