Haven't seen anything about this anywhere, Bryan Robson has had an operation to remove a cancerous tumour in his throat http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/12759530.stm

Broken on the same day that we hear about Abidal too.

It's funny how often great players fail to perform as managers, while mediocre players excel when they're in charge.

Didn't realise he liked his ale? Shame about the illness, horrific times for the family ahead. Wish them all well.

On a side note. McClaren, now he, I always had down as a **** head. To me he looked and sounded more than half cut on Sky's Man U v JohnnyF match yesterday?
