Great Goal,

If we go up then he is not a league one striker so could be released.

On what basis do you offer an opinion like this? Bit glib!

Great post, Combine the two together and we would have an unbelievable striker.

Stockley was lazy but he was pure quality at scoring.

Bowman works really hard but wastes far too many chances.
A striker with those qualities would be playing at a higher level than us

Stockley wasn't lazy, far from it, he just didn't have any pace and sometimes looked a bit sluggish.

Yep. That was his problem. But, give me his goals any day of the week. Knew how to be in the right place at the right time and fierce in the box. Stockley is a far better striker than Bowman.
Bowman took his goal very well yesterday..
If only he could turn chances into goals on a regular basis. I don't think his positioning for crosses is very good, either. Crosses always seem to evade him or he gets under the ball which floats harmlessly over the bar.
This Bowman crusade is laudable and we all have our favourites, bit you can't change mutton into lamb.
Wholehearted player? Yes. Acceleration? He has a bit. Natural goalscoring instinct? No.

Underrate Bowman at your peril.

If he was playing against you, you'd hate him and wish he wasn't.
Looking back at the aborted season he did everything he was expected to do in spite of the frustrating misses. We had a prediction I think on number of goals he’d score , I think most would be happy with what he eventually scored given if the season hadn’t been truncated he would have probably have added three or four more to these. And he was supposed to have been a foil to a small nippy goal wise player playing alongside him. Thinks , what happened to that player and how many has he scored ? Still injured Mr A ?

Imagine Bowman and Stockley up front together. The stuff of defenders nightmares.

I think the team have created so many chances this season that we should of been clear at the top with a decent striker.

Maybe with a fit ajose it would of been different, Will ajose be fit for Wembley.
