Re: Nail bomb in town

Well just got back from town - needed to get something in Debenhams. All of Princesshay is now cordoned off as far as Southernhay to the East, High Street to the West, Paris Street to the North and Queen Street to the south.

Apparently there was an explosion in Giraffe at lunchtime, and when we got in town you could still walk down Bedford Street, but the cordon was widened to include that because of a 'second incident'. Also, there have been some casualties, but according to the radio they had 'minor injuries'.

And quite how anyone would think 'nail bomb in High Street' could be a wind up.........

It's quite shocking this. By the sounds of it the chao in Giraffe was in the toilet when it went off. In a locked cubicle no less. I got this from Radio 5live.

Bear in mind yer average tv presenter would have no clue where either Exeter or Truro were.

Plus the attacker has allegedly been taken to Launceston police station according to Manc, and I trust his updates

First occasion I recall seeing the words Manc and trust in the same sentence.

The girlfriend has been evacuated from the bank she works in and they've all been moved to the Cathedral Green.
