When I have heard it a few people try and join it, but they soon realise that they are singing it too fast and give up. Others try and get the we're the red and white libary going whilst some of us stand there shaking our heads wondering why has it come to this that they need to play songs over the tannoy to "get the crowd going"

To be fair are home atmospheres are a lot better than most of our league one opponents, the away games ive been to there's no singing from the home fans at all, we have a good atmosphere compared to most clubs, and it sounds like you just want the kids to stop going when there's a lot of them, we have been good at getting children involved with the club, and now you want to just kick them out, because it acctually turns out that your the only ones moaning, at the moment. And surley if there stupid chavy kids you should be able to out sing them and not be put off by them.

Expects abuse.

Exeweb Rail travel HQ or so it seems!!
West Ham play im forever blowing bubbles

Liverpool play You'll never walk alone

Leeds play Marching on together

Bristol City play One for the Bristol City by the wurzels

....alll leading up to kick off at every home game to get the crowd going and guess what...it works!

Its no different with us playing Seven Nation Army to try and help get us going, so cant see the cringeworthiness of it really

Funny that Max, because from where we sit in the OG when the song comes on there does seem to be a lot of singing of 'We are the red and white army' from the big bank.
And to be fair, there must be alot, cos if there weren't we wouldn't be able to hear em from the OG ;)

I think that part of the problem is that the away end has no roof, meaning no atmosphere can be generated from the away fans, meaning no banter at all can be made. I'll get merked for saying this, but the club could split the BB between home and away fans, as they used to. It wouldn't be hard to get some sort of segregation material and some stewards between them. (E.G. Barnet, Aldershot) Would create a much better atmpsohere, and some decent banter between the two sets of fans.
Also the fact that the chavs dont seem to join in any songs that the "YST" etc start, and then all wonder why the "YST" don't join in with thier songs.

Because they are the club anthems (with the exception of the Wurzels, who come from the Somerset area and so at least have a bit of a connection) whereas 7 nation army has nothing to do with us.

Without picking bones, but Bristol isn't in Somerset, but the connection they have is the South West ;)

But there's nothing in the rule book saying that we can't take the Red and White Army chant and have it as a club anthem type thing
