I've got a Samsung Omnia myself, had it since September and haven't had too many problems with it. It also has an optical mouse built in for times when it's easier to use that than the touch screen!

Sorry but the iphone is amazing, troubles is value for money, with o2 having the market for them. the cost of the lifetime of the contract outweights the value of the phone.
