Whilst I have never shared the vitriol of some posters on here for Bertie, I must also concede that I have never fully understood his retention in the squad, based on his fairly infrequent appearances. However, I have revised my opinion after Saturday's game with the Daggers. I thought that he was excellent, and but for a pair of wonder strikes from Fleetwood, would have been my man of the match.
