I’m intrigued by the avatars people on here use so have resurrected this thread from 14 years ago.
Some have had the same one for the two and a bit years I’ve been on here (and probably longer).
Some appear to change theirs fairly frequently.
Others are content to just have their initials (or don’t know/can’t be bothered to change it).
I’ve had two so far (both sourced from photos I’ve taken from what I’ve seen around and about where I live).
And I’m contemplating another change reasonably soon.
Anyone else fancy disclosing their avatar decision making process?
Think mines pretty obvious

Mine is the USS Arizona Memorial Pearl Harbour - Used after we cruised to Hawaii - I was very taken aback by the history of Pearl Harbour and all it stood for it was a very emotional visit.
Not usually my sort of thing but it really moved me.

Yes, I recognized yours when I saw it.
We went there a few years ago too and as you say it’s a very sombre place.
And hopefully not being disrespectful it’s also close to the Aloha Stadium.
So I wandered over and managed to get inside there for a look around.

This thread is quite an amusing read. Right from the OP describing his avatar, a self-pic, as City’s greatest midfielder in over 30 years, and it gets better.

It is funny when the descriptions no longer match the avatar :) ...

I've had the same one for years - put together back then with a nod to Matisse

Thought fbh had pasted up the next question on the wrong thread.

Had mine for years too... It's actually a chocolate wrapper, quite common in Turkey and I thought quite appropriate with our history of Dido the seagull.

Mine’s the same as it’s always been: a Tiger Super Six kit car that I built myself in 2001ish
