I didn’t see Chieck’s response to being subbed on Saturday, but I’ve read about it.
I’m not a fan of players displaying public shows of disagreement or frustration against their Manager.
I prefer the concept of controlled aggression on the pitch, where it counts and matters.
Kicking a bottle, or similar, on the touchline is pointless, unnecessarily disrespectful and whilst playing to the crowd is likely to come back to bite you.
Me too Bridgy, but you are dealing with young pros making their way in the world. It's tough, particularly when you don't have much experience of being subbed. I am sure all will be fine.

Sorry Bridgy but isn't he mirroring the antics of GC / Parks on the touchline ?

Different players with VERY different attitudes. I trust Cheick will have channelled his anger and frustration appropriately.
why do you say this? from memory sparkes was subbed after about 20 minutes...any professional would be rightly ****** off by this

I didn't see it but I expect it's the usual storm in a teacup and it being blown out of all proportion by all and sundry as usual.

Wasn't Sparks brought on as a sub and then shortly after subbed off?

No he started the game and was subbed after 22 mins when I think we were already 2-0 down. Demi came on and instantly impacted the game by scoring so you could argue it was a harsh sub so early but equally the sub clearly made a difference pretty much straight away

The difference with Cheick compared to Jack was Caldwell turned around and said something to him, with Jack he totally ignored him. It was Nico who tried consoling Jack, although he was having none of it.

Jack was clearly p1ssed off at being subbed, whereas my guess is that Cheick was p!ssed off at match situation (i.e. the poor second half performance of the team).

I think GC actually really likes Cheick, not just for the potential he has in his game, but for his attitude. He strikes me as someone that has a willingness to listen and really work hard at his game which will lend itself to GC.

I also think Cheick is really bought into the club. When he is playing and we score, he is always one of the first to get to the celebrations even from Centre Back which is great to see. It doesn't mean he is going to sign a new deal, but I really hope he does.
