As she's earned a living as a comedian for 35 years my guess is yes.
She's made me laugh a fair few times.

I find Jo Brand entertaining when she is presenting shows like HIGNFY and Bake Off Extra Slice but as a comedian not for me.

Sarcastic for sure and that's not everyone's cup of tea.
Nasty? I beg to differ.
She doesn't suffer fools lightly.
Looking at her career prior to comedy (Barnardo's, Nursing Assistant for adults with learning disabilities, Registered Mental Nurse, Psychiatric Nurse for ten years) she doesn't strike me as nasty at all.

I'm aware of, and respect, her nursing career and actually know someone who was on the wards with her but I wouldn't go and watch her stand-up. Obviously she's a big name in a tough industry and therefore popular but it's a custard pie in the eye from me.
