Sincere apologies to BAL by the way. I've just read earlier pages that I have missed and seen that unfortunately he has suffered this sort of loss. Apologies again.
I understand the point you are trying to make bitts but my moral outrage does extend well beyond SJP in both of the cases I mentioned. It just so happens that I only see these footballers when they are playing football. I would give them similar short shrift if I came across them in other walks...
I hope it's true Pete and that McCormick is making as much of a difference as he can. But, obviously I can't say for sure, but if it were me I would take any abuse solemnly on the chin. Laughing about it seems to suggest you don't give a ****. I'm referring to Lee Hughes by the way on this point.
It was widely reported that he had a good drink and then maybe slept for an hour or two before jumping in his range rover and driving 'like a lunatic' (according to witnesses) because he had relationship issues he felt needed sorting. He was texted/phoned by a teammate who pleaded with him to...
Didn't know whether this should go on the redevelopment thread or not but here goes...
I think the ground now looks great and I'm really looking forward to seeing it full at some point in the near future.
I'd like to know who is going to sit in the new stand.
Will the majority of the old...
This has quietly been annoying me for a few years now. IMO it's a shame that many of the old favourites have been forgotten, possibly intentionally. The red legion does a great job of creating some noise at home games and they were desperately needed when our home form became terminable for...
Loving the second pic in your last post Cuzman, three sides of our ground look great from that angle. Thanks
Agree with Rae, it is a shame that we haven't been able to reinvest some of our windfalls in a better stand that really took advantage of the new space freed up by the pitch move but as...
FBH, I was in Thailand this time last year. I logged in ready to listen to the commentary as usual but found that there was a watch live button on the match page. I then had to pay a fiver, through PayPal I think, to access it.
I then sat back smugly at the beach bar and watched the whole...
I love a quick striker but I can't see how championship strikers can only be successful if they have pace. Mitrovic took the division by storm last year and I'd say their styles are similar.
I totally disagree. He is a quality player and I think he would easily be good enough to play for a championship team. I'm not bothered about his past record, the evidence of last season was crystal clear to me. He's a beast at our level and with proper support and service could score 30 this year.
Stockley is a fabulous player that I feel we're lucky to have. We need to build s team around him and Matt seems to be doing that very sensibly. The play-off final had me cringing at the lack of support he received. He was battling to win headers, then having to chase them himself.
When Harley...
Fair enough. I've had a look and they did go on a great run, something like eleven wins out of sixteen and some big name scalps. Then one win out of the last eleven games to finish. If they can get some consistency they could be in the mix but there will be 23 other teams looking to do the same.
I think you're probably right Malcolm. I don't know how he gets up in the morning knowing that tis is gone.
On topic, I'm loving Forte's range of goals in that compilation clip. As a secondary striker to Jayden I think he'll thrive. Here's to hoping that Ashford doesn't get the satisfaction of...
I would be happy if McDermott took over, if it came to that. I think he did a great job at reading and then a reasonable one at Leeds during turbulent times. Not sure why he's not taken on a role since, he must have had offers, surely?
Stuart Fleetwood forced to reflect on the highest and lowest point of his career yesterday. He tweeted '9 years ago today, promoted to league 1. Today, asked to return my training kit or incur a £40 fine!'
Fair enough, I agree with all of that but still think Snoop was making an entirely reasonable overall point. I'm just tired of the very divisive nit picking I've been reading, particularly in the last few weeks.
