City played well. i know I dont post on here much, hardly ever in fact. But I watch City a lot. Me and my boy were talking about how this game would be very important in terms of knowing where we stood in relation to established league one clubs. As Taylor says, League one is almost two leagues...
The Lincoln stewards, as with almost every other set of stewards in lower league football, were prepared to let you stand as long as you dont stand on the gangways. If it wasnt allowed by law, they obviously wouldn't do that, because it would mean their club being sanctioned. In most lower...
I think Taylor would do well to forget Adjose in the run in and go back to playing Lee Martin in the attacking two. Lee may not enjoy playing up there but he's clearly the better footballer.
To be fair Bowman doesn't normally win that many headers. For a player that you would think won a lot of headers. But he is normally a bit more energetic in the box. He just looks tired, as you say.
Genuine question. I grew up in London following Arsenal, been to Millwall Chelsea Tottenham etc in the 80s, so Ive seen most things if Im honest. Nowadays I live a quiet life in the SW and have developed an affection for Exeter City, over the last 5 years I have been to a lot of games, mainly at...
Few Stone Island types taking the **** on their side of the cordon and a few of ours got excited and went over to have a go. That was all from what I saw.
I went to Carlisle. I cant pretend to go to that many City games that are that far away but I was knocking around that area anyway. After a bit i realised i was sat right in front of Ryans family. He's got a little daughter who must get dragged along to a lot of his matches and gets thoroughly...
I totally agree, there was a lot to like about todays performance, Exeter were a lot more solid than against Orient or Grimsby (obvoiusly). The start was absolutely immense, FG didn't get a second to settle, and it could have been a 2 or 3 goal lead. After that it was inevitable that they would...
Bowman was really good today not just with the goal but won a lot more in the air, some dangerous lay offs when he was holding the ball up, a real menace. My man of the match.
I just said the same thing to someone. I was right behind the goal and it looked like he'd arrived from nowhere when the goal was a total formality. From that angle it looks like he's just bundled the ball to safety. Oh well.
I have watched a lot of live football, not necessarily at Exeter City, a lot of it in the Premership and old First Division, and I can honestly say that that save is one of the best saves, if not THE best that I have seen at a football match.
it’s not about that. Williams is the better player but he’s become a marked man and his performances in certain recent games have been much poorer than previously. Invisible at Newport, ineffective v Grimsby. I just reckon he needs a rest or could be devastating as a sub. Then if Martin turns...
Lee Martin does score though. Tight game at Newport, Lee Martin Scores. Opening goal at Carlisle, Lee Martin scores. He probably puts more of his chances away than Bowman, to be fair. And I like Bowman. But Lee Martin is better as a wide player, he even says it himself. I would say try and find...
Completely agree with that. Jay up front gets lost. But Jay in behind is half decent. Look at his ball for Law at Carlisle. But could you put him in ahead of Nicky Law? it wouldnt be an improvement. He's more of a second option if Law gets injured or needs a rest.
