All the promises made by Caldwell and the board seem to be failing - he needs to be given a chance and the board are backing him in the January transfer window. NOTHING HAS CHANGED and we are still drifting towards relegation or at best scraping survival.
100% this, the football is still dull and predictable and now he's added in some baffling decisions like not actually playing our new striker and Niskanen is a headless chicken!

I don't know what comparing these win percentages achieves, I bet GC has been given a bigger budget than any manager, probably in our history.
Yes, our mission statement is to become a sustainable Lg1 club. We’re reasonably ambitious in that respect. Ok, will probably have a budget somewhere just below middle ranking in this league but we presumably appointed this manager because he has previous success in this league and talks a good show.

So we have to assume he’s been given the tools to succeed at this level.

I don’t think he’s getting the best bang for the buck he’s spending.

Surely everyone knows that any manager would win more games in the Conf as a "big fish" than in L1 as a "small fish"......... those stats are pointless. With our size at the time, in a conf with

Facts are that last year we finished 14th with a decent squad that was a combination of SMTs work, our last batch of kids and a superb, form of their life, front 3
That squad was decimated, and in term of league position for this year, 14th was never going to be feasible, so anything between 15th and 20th would have been fine this year and we will achieve that
The bigger thing, and facts wont ever conclusively prove this one way or t'other, is that people dont like watching the style we play at home but thats how we are going to play with him in charge and he wont be sacked so there we are...........

And the keys to a promoted side stronger than the last time we came up - MT had assembled a team that was essentially a lower half League One side in L2
Not half, just echoing the point executed very well in The Big Bank theory podcast. I'm tired of the Caldwellites trying to justify the way he cleared the squad he had and brought in his own players, that are simply not at the required standard.
Before GC we were moaning about how Josh Key's final delivery was poor, compare that thought to watching Niskanen week, in week out and his final end product, or Jack Sparkes lack of pace, Caprice turning onto his left foot. Matt Jay not scoring enough goals, now we have the likes of Aitchison who might score a goal every 12 games and everyone listens to GC and tells you how brilliant he is.
The contrast from then to now is huge.

Agree, on most though Aitcheson is an upgrade on Jay

Surely Brown replaced Jay so Aitchison is Brown's replacement.
