First game in ages for me, looking forward to it.
Ditto. I'm holding out some hope that Caldwellball looks better from the Big Bank than on iFollow...

Have we scored 3 goals in a game this season?

Huge match today and one we simply must win

Come on you Reds , let’s quit the tippy tappy , score the goals this time and smash this lot , not treat them like they’re Liverpool in disguise. About time we got three in a game.

What are the odds on us scoring a first half goal at home for the second time in the league this season? Nearly 6 months to the day from the first...

Beautiful views from the churchyard in Morchard on the rare occasions the weather is clear.
They are even beautiful in a different way when its overcast. There is something magical about the mid-Devon landscape generally, it's the mixture of colours, the contours, fields and the placement of houses and farms. IMO it is up there with some world famous vistas. The view from near the Beacon Chapel outside Newbuildings across the Yeo valley is special.

The discussion and prediction thread has become the match day thread. Is this the new normal?

Yes, beautiful landscape. I lived in Bow for many years and some of the views out to Dartmoor are stunning.

It finally stopped raining at about 08:00. It's been another wet 24 hours with 6mm of rain chucked on already sodden ground. Then the sun came out. Weak though it is, there's 50% blue sky and oblique low sunshine (see also John Williams post about skyscapes and landscapes in Devon). The wind is WNW, but it's also been shifting around to NW, so the current 5c seems cooler, though there's barely a whisper of wind.. Expect it to be cold, wherever you choose to spectate. Sunnies might be useful, too. As for the game, who knows? As several have posted we could do without all the tippy tappy football at the back and get into a serious attacking mode, especially as the manager seems to be picking from a nearly fully fit squad. It might also help if substitutions are made when they're needed, rather than waiting for the oppossition to score first and sit back. Possession football is all very well, but goals win games and we seem sorely short of then at the moment. Update around 13:00.
