Imagine that would be a loan then as he only signed for Fleetwood in September...

Fleetwood got rid of Joey Barton and their Director of Football last month and have appointed an interim manager who was managing their youth team. I assume the first two were responsible for the signing of Stubbs so, given that the owner was interviewed recently and suggested they'd have to lose numbers before bringing anyone in, it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility that there might be consensus that it's in the interest of both parties for the player to move on.
