Northampton Town v Exeter City Matchday Thread - Kick off 2-00 PM

Great win. Well done GC, staff, players and fans. So good to finish above Bristol Rovers. Nothing against KMT but I wouldn't like Rovers even if the Del Lai Rama was manager. Sorry to all you Rovers lovers in the City fanbase but that's just the way it is. I stand to be corrected but I think 10...

Sorry that was our 9th away win which could be a post war record in this division.

Top of the form League at the start, bottom in the middle, and top at the end. Now that is a proper rollercoster!

Record equaling 8th away win in this division post 1945 (I think).

Port Vale v Exeter City match day thread

Back in December I was just blindly hoping that we could win a game. All managers need a little bit of fortune. GC had 2 IMO Sonny Cox coming back a better player than he was and Sinisalos penalty save to give us the win against Wycombe. Had that gone in and with the next 2 games versus Pompey...

Well done GC, the staff, players and fans. When was the last time we scored 4 away from home in the third tier?

Matt Taylor - sacked by Rotherham & employed by Bristol Rovers

Merely suggesting that due to it's location and his northern roots Plymouth may not be his preferred destination. As you rightly point out this might of been more of a consideration as a player than as a manager. Meant no dis-respect. Apologies if it was taken as such. Is one of my favourite...

Matt Taylor - sacked by Rotherham & employed by Bristol Rovers

Worse case outcome gets sacked by Rovers and there's still a vacancy at muff. Too far south perhaps?

I'm going to say 1983 but could be 84. One nil defeat. Anyway we are all conditioned by are personal experiences.

Matt Taylor - sacked by Rotherham & employed by Bristol Rovers

MT will always be one of my favourite City managers. However I hate Bristol Rovers Probably stemming from the fact I don't like batteries and coins being thrown at me. So I don't want Rovers to do well under any manager. It's a bit like if KMT took over at muff. I don't think many would want...

Matt Taylor - sacked by Rotherham & employed by Bristol Rovers

How is that one rule for one and another rule for another? I've applied the same rule for both Taylor and Cauldwell in their first season.

Matt Taylor - sacked by Rotherham & employed by Bristol Rovers

Not really. We were always fairly comfortably mid table in Cauldwells first season unlike Rotherham who sank like a stone. Maybe Taylor should of got a bit more League One managerial experience before ho left for the bright lights of Rotherham.
