I agree, it's all a bit dull. One thing that is emerging is how boring politics is becoming.
Gone are the days of Boris/Corbyn ding dongs. The great battle of Leaver/Remainer MPs in the House. A rabid Krankie the other side of the border with her lapdog Blackford down South...and the bombast Trump the other side of the pond. Then over in Brussels you had the revered tag team of Juncker & Tusk who loved nothing more than to ruffle some feathers.
Stark contrast to today's dullards: Sunak, Starmer & Hamza...with a decrepit Sleepy not knowing the time of day at their tiller. And then there's VonDeLeyen...
Some might say that's a good thing. I don't particularly.
A fair question. Same with the ScotNats and the Norn-Oirish non government.Any Labourites on here care to comment on the Welsh Government’s refusal to sanction a full independent inquiry into their COVID response in Wales?
Seems a tad hypocritical for Labour to deny the Welsh people something they’re desperate to see happen at Westminster.
You ought to know by now that all politicians twist things to suit themselves whatever their political leanings. Don’t trust many of ‘em myself.Any Labourites on here care to comment on the Welsh Government’s refusal to sanction a full independent inquiry into their COVID response in Wales?

Anyone remember the Monorail episode of the Simpsons?I wonder how much our own City Council are in hock to the spivs and speculators over the vanity project of the "Bus Station Fitness Club"?
Or how much the citizens of Plymouth are still paying for the rescue of their precious club from the likes Staplegun, Sir Woy etc etc? Still at least the did have "Harry Potter" riding to the rescue as well - just DON'T mention the Royal Clarence debacle please.
Still, ever since the 80s we've had successions of governments (of both flavours) using their powers to centralise control and finance to their own coffers while simultaneously robbing them of funds to run even their core statutory services (social care/education/"bin collection" etc). A start, possibly, would be to allow local authorities to retain those business rates that (currently) still pour into the waste bin that is "No 11"?
The Tholos Foundation. Where do you find these obscure right wing think tanks? On the lack of barriers to trade interesting to see where Brexit Britain ranks on this index, second in Western Europe behind fellow non-EU member Norway and 8th globally.
Sorry Remoaners!!
United Kingdom
The International Trade Barrier Index (TBI) follows on the success of its sister index the International Property Rights Index used by think tanks, governments, private industry, and academics from around the world to assess their property rights environment.www.tradebarrierindex.org
