Do flares look great and enhance the atmosphere though? They are usually a feeble bit if smoke and that's it. Like a dry ice machine at a disco. They do nothing worthwhile. It's just an imported thing as we've lost our own football culture.

One day people will learn the difference between a flare used at sea and a smoke bomb that you can literally throw at people on a stag do whilst playing paintballNo deaths but a quick search of google suggests there have been several injuries related to flares recently. I'm with Matt Taylor on this and thinks it's fantastic to see him calling out these issues.

I disagree, you seem to think Archie’s shot was in the middle of the goal but it wasn’t, watch it again. It could have been further into the corner of course, but it was a good first time shot and an excellent save.
The difference though Max is that when people sign up to paintball they actually sign a consent form that states they will be fired at and may come into contact with smoke. I doubt asthmatics would do it unless they agreed there was no smoke.
