Why can't we always do that. It was an excellent free kick : just the right pace on it with a bit of an inward swing. Please repeatI think this clip illustrates what a superb free kick that was by Sparkes. The sort of bend on that cross that would totally fool any keeper. The keeper had no chance against that cross or the subsequent header.
Watched this a hundred times already. Perfect free kick : perfect commentary.
Great delivery. Pace and whip - what all defenders hate.
Jack Sparkes is one of the best natural crosses of a ball you could hope to see. He's struggled a little bit for consistency this season which is perhaps no surprise given how young he is but he certainly has the ability to go on to have a very good career.I think this clip illustrates what a superb free kick that was by Sparkes. As discussed earlier on in this thread it was the decision of Bolton to leave two players further up the pitch that meant they did not have enough defenders in the box and their number 2 was left marking both Hartridge and Sweeney.Looks like the defenders were distracted/worried by the presence of Jokull. No one looking at our players at the back.
Jokull's first reaction to the ball hitting the back of the net is to scamper back to his goal. Only then does he realise he can pile in on the celebration!Looks like the defenders were distracted/worried by the presence of Jokull. No one looking at our players at the back.
