Oh for a centre forward with record like his...
Torquay had a really good team at the time, tbh probably as good as anything we've had. Stubbs was a very good goalscorer. If I'm not mistaken, he got a bad injury and was replaced with Jim Fryatt, a tough, no-nonsense centre forward who also got goals.
Assuming Sam Stubbs' injury is not going to drag on or keep reoccurring then it seems a good signing and just what we need. If he can play the last 15 or so games could be a key

We could do with a Graham Parker in the squad now.
Shouldn't this be on the "Rumours" thread? :p

Any news on how his rehabilitation is going and when we are likely to see him in the famed red and white

Last update I heard about two weeks ago he still had to have his knee drained before he could step up training

From Matt Taylor's last interview ...
"Sam is due to get his knee drained and have an injection in his knee.
But as soon as he gets that done in the next couple of days he'll have another couple of days to settle and then he'll get back out onto the training pitch"

... also gives info on Randell Williams, Joel Randall and Rory McArdle

So that's Stubbs still a few weeks from playing. Not yet out training and when he is, after a few months out, he will need a couple of weeks to get match ready fitness.

Would be nice if we could sign a fully fit and match ready player once in a while. Yes , I know , it’s to do with our budget and all that.........

Andresson and Willmott both played and had a positive influence straightaway so two out of three isn't bad.
