Well yes, but for every Ozil, there's an Alexis Sanchez. If there's a will...and all that.
It's not if there's a will and all that. I said that someone had to want to take him and he would also need to want to go, which is what happened with Sanchez. Arsenal didn't force MU to take Sanchez, in the same way that MU didn't force Inter(?) to take him either. If no-one wants Ajose, or he digs his heels in and says he's staying to see out his contract, the only way we can get rid (if that's what we wanted) is to pay off his contract.

I am sure someone posted that he gets paid for appearances so maybe that is part of it.
So he is on a basic wage with add ons every time he plays ? The basic wage must be reasonable then else I’d guess he wouldn’t hang around.

I seem to recall when he signed, there was also a suggestion that he would be studying whilst playing for us. If that is correct it could also be a reason for him to wish to see his contract out. At the end of the day we are seemingly just speculating. I can't see there being a "big reveal" from KMT at the end of the season, as it would hardly help future recruitment, if players can expect their "dirty linen to be publicly aired" at the conclusion of their contracts.

Of course, which is the Arsenal/Ozil situation. The Man U/Sanchez situation was exactly the same, but they eventually found a way somehow. Someone, somewhere would want Ajose, and I'm sure Ajose would want to play regular first team football rather than sit around and do bench time (if lucky). It's just then a question of how much of his weekly wage the other party are willing to stump up and how much you lose on him until his contract ends. Jus sayin.

I'm on the fence with Ajose and would like to have had more opportunity to see what he is about. In warm ups, or the ones that I can recall, back in the day when crowds were allowed in, he did look, I'll put it laid back and aloof from the rest of the squad, however his stats show that he might have something about him and whilst on the pitch he did seem to be trying to beat the offside trap and create an opportunity and had an energy about him going forward quite often frustrated by the lack of vision of his colleagues, however recently with a deeper role similar to MJ and Nicky Law that he has been playing I don't think suits him and I would much rather see him as an out and out striker, but that doesn't fit with our play so I really don't know.

It would be a bit of a bummer if for the latter part of the season he does get more game time and shows what he is about only to leave at the end of the season, when his contract expires (or does it?)as we would all be thinking what might have been - not going to happen though!

It must be an attitude thing or a falling out with Taylor, just like Aaron Martin. Seymour should never be ahead of him. He must be gutted. Why give him a three year deal and then ignore him given our financial restrictions?! I also think it was quite telling when Taylor said if Bowman stops trying in games he won’t play, so maybe that is the answer with Ajose, he just doesn’t get stuck in like Bowman does.

I do think people overplay drama in dressing rooms. Think about your work. Do you get on with everybody? Probably at different levels, I have definitely worked with and for people I didn't see eye to eye with... it's pretty normal.

MT and Ajose are grown men so I do believe Martin on this score. For some reason MT hasn't wanted to give many opportunities to Ajose, whether you think he's performed badly or not. I'm not an football expert, but from my eye I think he's been decent most times he's played - not completely useless or anonymous like Seymour who frankly isn't a FL player by some distance. There are better players at Bath City than him. Brutal I know, but not all our academy prospects are going to make it.

Aaron Martin is probably a good comparison - I don't think Taylor would have kept him even if he wanted to. Not because he was a bad player, clearly not - because he wasn't the right fit. You're only going to see this reality in competitive football matches. If there's one big difference between MT and Tisdale is that the he wants players to specialise and play in the way HE wants. Not have a defender cover up front etc.

It wasn't a bad signing - it was an informed decision, and tbh I have seen Ajose play at Swindon - he was an excellent finisher there a league up from where we are now.
