Ah. Thought he was a young lad just starting out. Shows what I know about some of our squad lol. Good player though for this level from what I've seen.
I was pleasantly surprised when he signed as I remembered his good reputation whilst he was at Colchester but had lost track of his progress.

Is there a risk for a load of fit young men to play competitive sports? Does the science support it? Figure that out, then we will have an idea about restarting football.
As with all of this easy talk about releasing the lockdown, it’s not about them or how they will be affected. There isn’t much risk to them, like there isn’t much risk to kids if schools are reopened. It’s about them potentially spreading the virus to their families and other people they come into contact with.

But what is the risk of getting it, if they obey the lockdown rules otherwise? They'll be tested on a regular basis as will the coaching staff.

But testing - at least, current testing - tells you nothing except whether you have Covid at that moment, and appears not to be very good even at that. You could still have had it yesterday or could get it tomorrow. Or you might actually have it now but be showing no symptoms and therefore test negative.
Any extra travel, meeting others, being in places where others have been, increases the risk.

Doctor Harries reiterated again at the Downing Street briefing yesterday that it’s “indoor settings“where the virus will spread the most much more than the outdoor events themselves.

About time the pro game better reflected the amateur game.

Players told to rock up, changed, half an hour before kick off
They stagger out on to the pitch in drips and drabs. We can assess who is hungover and who can't find their shin pads in the boot
They knock a few balls about whilst comparing gossip and notes about latest conquests
Manager calls them all round in a big circle and sticks an easel and whiteboard out
5 minutes of tactics and arguing, all on mike

First half

Half time on the pitch. Everyone has their own mini bag with half an orange, an energy biscuit and bottle of lucozade
Manager recovenes white board and waves arms even more frantically as players lie prostrate on the ground not listening
Two players jog off and throw up by the corner flag

Second half

Game ends with everyone mouthing off at the ref from 2m away
Players stand in a long line, discarding all clothes other than their athletic supports.
Groundsman gets his hose and jet washes everyone down
Everyone shuffles back to their car, trying to dry off and put tshirts and shorts back on

Put all that on TV, be entertaining .

“Bottle of Lucozade”? Was normally a can of Stella in the team I played for.
