The problem with following the expert is that his remit may be very narrow.

"How do we best try to defer this virus from swamping the NHS ?" and "What are the longer term economic and health costs of accepting your expert advice ?" are quite different questions. The medical and science expert will say the economic assessment is for others to make. As you say, maybe for another thread.

I concur with you, they are two very different questions - a short(ish) term humanitarian one and a longer term economic one.

Still don't see how it's ok for them to drive to the training ground and have a kickabout whilst practising social distancing but it's not ok for the average Helmut and his pal to do the same without breaking guidelines.

Something odd there as directors cannot be lawfully paid under the Club Articles. Does this relate to reimbursed expenses and include Mr Tagg's arrangements with his holding company ?

The advance of £125m from the Premier League to the EFL has been put on hold as the money is for next season, and the EFL needs to give more consideration to club's finances before dishing out the dough.
