Tisdale must be hampered by his assertion that he stated when he got the MKD job that he knew what was needed to get out of league 2, Matt taylor has no such pressure on him, top half finish (or even lower) and there can be no question that he will have fulfilled his remit and will get a new contract.
We all know that Tisdale's promotion formula revolves around tried and tested defensive tactics, sitting deep, allowing the oppos to have possession without hurting and everyone getting behind the ball. Getting a one goal lead and holding and reacting to the oppos rather than forcing the pace of the game. Tactics which we can only hope Matt is shedding in favour of a more proactive approach, I'll be happier when we start having a player up front when we concede corners and substitutions are made to alter the shape of the team rather than just to replace tired legs.
At MKD Tisdale may find that his two year roller is more of a hinderance than a help, insisting on such a contract whilst not delivering may look a bit mercenary (as it eventually did to us) and, as was predicted, larger teams with greater immediate ambitions than us won't show the same patience that we were prepared to grant.
There's a vast amount of pressure on Tisdale to succeed, not just from Winklebum and the supporters, but the whole entourage of lackies, sycophants and players that he's dragged up there with him. There's also that magnificent stalled career to jump start.
