Which compact camera?

I could do with some Exeweb advice please.

Another compact camera has bitten the dust. I've currently got an Olympus 5010, a line of Olympus compacts I've owned.

Not entirely happy with the last 2, whislt the HD video quality has generally ben excellent, the zoom has been poor, and quite often decides to go out of focus as I hit record. 7x and 5x zoom seems to be passed the capabilities of the compacts I've owned.

So I guess my requirements are:

• able to take the standard family pics
• Uses SD card
• fit in to my pocket
• "quick" shutter speed - I find the compacts so frustrating after using my DSLR!
• HD video - 720 is great 1080 would be better
• 5x or 7x zoom that works. e.g. decent quality from Big Bank to the away end goal.
• Under £300.

Come across anything that might be suitable for me?
